Periodic Limb Movement Disorder (PLMD)

  • Periodic Limb Movement Disorder is a condition when a person who is asleep has rhythmic leg movements which are involuntary.

  • These leg movements could be extremely disturbing to the bed partner.

  • These leg movements could be associated with brain arousals which fragments the sleep and cause excessive day time sleepiness.
